2.1 Open a terminal

A terminal can be opened in different ways.

First you can just simply double-click the terminal icon in applications. You can keep it to the docker by "Add to Favorites".

Other than searching, you may use the shortcut "Ctrl"+"Alt"+"t".

Note that the promptstudent@csci3150:~$is in form of[user]@[hostname]:~$.The examples of commands afterwards always start with the$that corresponds to that at the end of this prompt.
